FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which amino acid grades do you offer?

Pharmaceutical (USP/Ph. Eur.), food, cosmetic and research grades, with fermentation- and synthesis-derived options depending on the product.

How do you verify chirality and optical purity?

Specific rotation plus chiral HPLC where required, both reported on the batch COA to guarantee L-configuration purity.

Do you supply protected amino acids for peptide synthesis?

Yes, Boc- and Fmoc-protected derivatives and side-chain protected variants for solid-phase peptide synthesis.

What is the typical purity?

99.0-101.0 percent assay for pharmacopoeia grades; peptide-grade derivatives at 98 percent HPLC or better.

What packaging is used?

25 kg drums with double PE liners for commercial supply, and 100 g-1 kg bottles for development work.

What is the minimum order quantity?

From 100 g for research grades; commercial orders typically from 25 kg.

Do you provide non-animal-origin documentation?

Fermentation-derived products can be supplied with BSE/TSE-free, vegan and non-animal-origin statements.

What is the shelf life and storage?

Generally 24-36 months in cool, dry, sealed conditions; some derivatives require 2-8 degrees C storage as noted on the TDS.

Can you handle custom amino acid derivatives?

Yes, from odd protected derivatives to isotopically labelled compounds for research use.

What is the typical lead time?

Stocked L-amino acids ship within a week; specialty derivatives generally 2-4 weeks.
